Mac OS for programming?
If Im going to college for Software Engineering (in USA), should I sell my Mac and buy PC laptop with windows?
Visual C++
Visual Basic
Java
SQL
and then python, scala, web development
do not suggest instal Windows on Mac plz.
Mac comes with Xcode for free. http://developer.apple.com/technologies/tools/xcode.html Its the same software suite that apple uses to make apps for mac.
Xcode supports many languages and more can be added with plugins. The only one it does not support is Visual Basic.
I am a computer science major and I use my mac for all my app development. Xcode works so much better then what I have to use in the lab.
